International Gita Mahotsav

INTERNATIONAL GITA MAHOTSAV

Kurukshetra, Haryana (15 November to 5 December 2025)

About Partner State International Gita Mahotsav

The Partner State for the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 is Madhya Pradesh (MP).

This collaboration is significant because it brings the rich cultural, religious, and spiritual heritage of Madhya Pradesh—the “Heart of India”—to the sacred land of Kurukshetra.

Role of the Partner State (Madhya Pradesh)

  • Cultural Showcase: Madhya Pradesh will have a dedicated, large-scale cultural pavilion at the Brahma Sarovar complex. This pavilion will be used to exhibit the state’s traditional arts, tribal crafts, music, dance forms, and culinary specialties throughout the festival.

  • Joint Celebrations: The partnership is not limited to Kurukshetra. The state of MP is also organizing major events related to the Gita Mahotsav within its own cities, such as Ujjain and Bhopal, particularly on the day of Gita Jayanti (December 1, 2025).

  • Spiritual Diplomacy: By being the partner state, MP helps enhance the national outreach of the IGM, promoting the Bhagavad Gita’s universal message of Karma Yoga and knowledge to a wider Indian audience through its own state-level events and cultural presentations.

  • Infrastructure: As part of the partnership, there have been mentions of the establishment of a Gita Bhavan in Madhya Pradesh, a project symbolically linked to the Mahotsav’s objectives.
