About MSME Fair at IGM 2025
The MSME Fair (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Fair) is a key commercial and developmental segment of the International Gita Mahotsav (IGM), underscoring the event’s commitment to economic growth and the “Make in India” initiative.
The MSME Fair runs concurrently with the Saras and Crafts Mela and the Foreign Craft Fair on the banks of the Brahma Sarovar throughout the festival, from November 15 to December 5, 2025.
Role and Purpose of the MSME Fair
Economic Empowerment: The primary goal is to provide a significant, high-footfall platform for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs from Haryana and other Indian states to showcase and sell their manufactured products and services.
Government Promotion: It is supported by the Ministry of MSME and State-level industry bodies. The fair often features government stalls and exhibitions highlighting schemes aimed at supporting small businesses, such as the PM Vishwakarma Scheme (focused on traditional artisans and craftspeople).
Product Diversity: Unlike the Saras Mela which focuses mainly on handicrafts and SHGs, the MSME Fair often includes a broader range of products, which can include textiles, handlooms, toys, pottery, mechanical items, and packaged food products.
Inclusive Growth: The fair actively works to promote inclusive growth by often providing subsidized or free stalls to enterprises owned by women, SC/ST entrepreneurs, and those from Aspirational Districts, giving them a crucial market opportunity.
Networking: It offers valuable Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Customer (B2C) opportunities, helping these smaller enterprises expand their market reach, secure new clients, and network with industry leaders and government officials.
