International Gita Mahotsav Celebrated in Milan, Italy – 18 November 2025
The Consulate General of India in Milan, in collaboration with the Italian Hindu Union, organized a special celebration of the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 on 18 November 2025. The event brought together scholars, community members, and cultural representatives to honor the universal teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar addressed the gathering, highlighting the timeless relevance of the Gita as a guiding light that offers clarity, courage, and wisdom to navigate modern-day challenges.
Professor Paolo Magnone, an eminent scholar of Sanskrit Language and Literature at the Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose di Milano, delivered an enriching lecture on the profound philosophical depth and enduring global significance of the Bhagavad Gita.
The event also featured the sacred recitation of a chapter from the Gita by Pandit Dhaval Jani ji and Pandit Para ji, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
