The Embassy of India in Asunción, in collaboration with the National Secretariat of Culture and the National Library of Paraguay, successfully celebrated the International Gita Festival in Asunción on 19 November 2025 at the National Library premises.
The event began with an insightful presentation on the Bhagavad Gita by Swami Purushatraya ji, highlighting the timeless spiritual wisdom and universal message of the Gita.
Distinguished speakers shared their reflections on the Bhagavad Gita:
• H.E. Dr. David Velázquez Seiferheld, Vice Minister of Superior Education, Government of Paraguay
• Mr. Sergio Cáceres, Philosopher and Professor
• Dr. Mohan Kohli, Geneticist and Scientific Consultant for CAPECO
Adding devotional vibrance to the celebration, ISKCON Paraguay presented a soulful bhajan (devotional song).
This marked a historic first, as the International Gita Festival was celebrated in Paraguay for the very first time.
