हस्तशिल्प कला और कारीगरों की अनोखी प्रतिभा ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव की फिज़ा को और भी रंगीन बना दिया है। वर्ष 2005 में ए.पी.जे. अब्दुल कलाम के हाथों राष्ट्रपति अवॉर्ड प्राप्त कर चुके दयाचंद, दिल्ली से विशेष रूप से इस महोत्सव में शामिल होने पहुंचे हैं।
ब्रह्मसरोवर के पावन तट पर 15 नवंबर से 5 दिसंबर तक चल रहे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव 2025 में देशभर से शिल्पकार अपनी अनोखी कला का प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं। यह 21 दिवसीय सरस एवं शिल्प मेले में विभिन्न राज्यों की पारंपरिक हस्तशिल्प कला का शानदार संगम देखने को मिल रहा है।
दिल्ली से आए दयाचंद पिछले 15 वर्षों से इस महोत्सव का हिस्सा बन रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि अपने हाथों की मेहनत ने ही उन्हें हस्तशिल्प जगत में एक अलग पहचान दिलाई, जिसके चलते उन्हें वर्ष 2005 में एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम के हाथों राष्ट्रपति पुरस्कार मिला।
दयाचंद अपने साथ टेराकोटा मिट्टी से बने फ्लावर पॉट, सजावट की वस्तुएं, सुराही, राजस्थानी स्टैचू, उरली, वॉल क्लॉक आदि लाए हैं, जिनकी कीमत 250 से 3000 रुपये तक है। ये सभी उत्पाद वे स्वयं अपने हाथों से बनाते हैं।
वे स्टॉल नंबर 68–69 पर अपनी कला का प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं और इच्छुक लोगों को यह कला सिखाकर उन्हें रोज़गार के अवसर भी प्रदान कर रहे हैं।

Handcrafted Excellence That Earned a Presidential Award
The vibrant craft skills of talented artisans have added new colors to the International Gita Mahotsav. Delhi-based artisan Dayachand, who received the Presidential Award in 2005 from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, is once again showcasing his remarkable talent at the festival.
The sacred banks of Brahmasarovar are hosting the International Gita Mahotsav (15 November – 5 December 2025), where artisans from across the country have gathered to present their unique craftsmanship. The 21-day Saras & Craft Fair has become a beautiful confluence of India’s diverse traditional arts.
Dayachand, who has been part of this festival for the past 15 years, shared that his dedication and hard work in the field of handicrafts earned him recognition at the national level, culminating in the prestigious Presidential Award in 2005.
He has brought with him terracotta flower pots, decorative items, surahi, Rajasthani statues, urli bowls, wall clocks, and more—priced between ₹250 and ₹3000. All these products are entirely handmade.
At stall number 68–69, he not only sells his creations but also teaches this craft to interested visitors, thereby generating employment opportunities for many.
